It may take slightly longer to open a file in which numerous Live Effects are used. In addition, when you resize or edit an object with numerous effects, it may take Fireworks longer to redraw the object on the screen.
You can temporarily disable an effect to speed the redraw on the screen.
To temporarily disable an effect applied to an object:
Deselect the check box next to the effect in the Effect panel. The effect is temporarily removed from the object.
To reactivate a disabled effect:
Click the check box next to the effect.
To temporarily disable all effects applied to an object:
Choose All Off in the Effect panel Options pop-up menu.
